Who’s your audience? Well, that’s for you to determine. My example for this is always a corner bar.
A corner bar decorates, plans meals, has certain alcohol in stock, and run events. A blog has a theme, has posts, has a certain menu, and should run events.
Okay, back to the bar. If the bar is orange and black, called Handles, sell greasy sloppy food, has Budweiser on tap, and sponsors a ride for anything – you’re not going to attract the young hipster who drives a Mini Cooper. Not saying they can’t and don’t go, but not in droves.
So, imagine who you want as your audience. I heard one person say at a conference, make a dossier or even a character of who your perfect audience person is and write directly to them.
If you don’t have a clear picture of your audience, you are probably reaching too wide. This can help your focus your site and your posts.
