Blogging is a Business.  In many ways, it can be a profitable business.  But for so many it is not profitable.

Start your blog and run it like a business.  What do I mean?

Map out you blog, write a business plan, keep track of everything you do.

Yes, everything; such as date you started, date you signed up with your host and how much you paid, every transaction that is linked to your blog.

Keep it simple but list everything.  I use Excel and list all my expenses and all my income.  Yep, just one long log.  I do separate it by a few spaces for each month.

Keep a notebook if you want, but keep track. It's the new year, so start NOW!
